Welcome to the Macao Polytechnic Institute website!

Founded in 1991, we are a public, multi-disciplinary, application-based institution of higher learning. Small in size but compact in structure, we strive to provide quality education to the Macau community and become a nationally and internationally-renowned institution.

Fully supported by the Macau SAR government and the community, we have developed substantially over the past ten years, improving our learning environment with the addition of a new teaching block and introduction of more advanced facilities.

Our study programmes have evolved around the dual goals of academic excellence and professional practicality, committed to enriching students’ learning experiences in both specialised and general education. In order to enhance learning and encourage academic research, we have, in addition to actively developing overseas cooperation and exchange, established various research units in such key fields as Portuguese, gaming, English and information studies. With all these we seek to build a truly internationalised academic culture. All along, we have dedicated ourselves to service of the Macau community and the improvement of the local cultural environment.

In the coming ten years, we shall build on what we have achieved as we strive to upgrade to university, since it has been our wish to offer quality graduate programmes to an aspiring population in the community.
